Small Change

I ain’t gonna lie. There are and have been things that I have skimped on in life when it comes to saving a buck or two. Usually, that’s been due to what I’ve read about quality, then experiencing quality. Oh my, can we say, derrr? No resting in judgment or allowing free rent, it happens more than any of us would like to admit. I will though! Hahaha!! It’s life! What a grand experiment without a manual, till recently. (Yoga of Self-Ascension, Sacred Sequence of Incarnation. *wink* and plug!)

Right before the holiday weekend, I had been shopping around for a new bed, unbeknownst to the husband. My attitude was the musing that this one was only two years old and couldn’t possibly be sagging. What the heck. Then Universe stepped in with not one, but two tenants vacating the complex. My plans for the new were squashed.

Now, the guys I work with at the complex have shown me how they go through a unit when it is recovered (eviction) and other wise; they show no mercy. Wow. This happened to be my turn…though I didn’t know it, and though I was pissed. Fast forward…

During the inspection/clean up, not much was left behind. Score! (If you only knew.) A bed frame and a mattress was all that was left. Celebration! So, after about two hours deciding if I wanted the bed frame, cause I found the new mattress and box spring desired, I did take it. I love this bed frame. I love the fact my bed isn’t sagging. I didn’t know. I am resting infinitely better. My back even popped the first night. Another celebration! Yes!

The point of telling this story is simple: You don’t know, what you don’t know. Trust Universe has your back when things pop up/try to get out of the comfort zone. I just saved myself the latest and greatest of the moment expensive beds and rescued my existing by merely changing the bed frame. It never occurred to me that perhaps the/a solution was that simple. And as far as getting out of the comfort zone? My comfort zone with acquiring anything from a unit comes down to bugs. I don’t care where you live or how clean you think your stuff is, get a UV light and clean it like Gordon Ramsey showed in that old television show where he went into hotels. You’ll become aware and freak yourself out when you go to a hotel, restaurant, bathroom (yours or the public). Nature finds a way; just like me and you.
