Let’s make some noise…

Ah, the midnight and midnight-thirty hour seems to be wrapping me in the deep starry night fullness of let’s get up! To which, I have gladly said no, carried my bum back to bed and attempted to get back to sleep. Oy! Really? Anyone else having massive sleep disruption? Don’t get me wrong three, four, or even five A.M. is pleasant but midnight is a full, full day and there would be no rest for anyone. I can only be so quiet, Ha! Ha! Ha! With that…

On one of those mornings, the full, full day, adventures began with me deciding to get up and go play with my plants. You know, it’s quiet and involving only water – shouldn’t be anything to it. Wrong. I ended up needing, of all things, a butcher knife to thrash my once itsy Aloe plant. And to my surprise, this brought kitty out of wherever she was pretending to hunt at the midnight hour and explore what I was up too. Needless to say, I’m taking the butcher knife to the stalk of the aloe, while she decides to play with the African violets and four foot tall snake plant I was prepping for thinning out. Geez Louise — oops. I couldn’t sleep, doesn’t mean wake up the whole place. Here’s the Aloe plant, the big knot in the center was what brought it down. And now it is onward for the next phases – regrow a few pieces, goopy gel, plant food, and more. What a beauty.
