I’m often amazed during conversations, when the idea of what rich and poor is comes bubbling to the surface. Recently, rent increases were showered over the complex and without fail, about 50% were slicing and dicing the tit for tat. A little education takes place, assistance in helping them find the gratitude that it isn’t all that bad, and viola! some folks still leave the office pissed off. Oh my, but it’s still a celebration. This complex is coming into a “normality” of balance. I keep in mind that there is no true definition of “normal”, that overall normal is what’s popular and generated by society or cultural experience. The celebration is they can go look up information now. With that out of the free rent zone, let’s get to some more celebration moments.
“Good morning beautiful world!” That’s how I greet my day at the second job lifting the rolling window. I’m fully aware my attitude or lack ‘a tude sets the tone. In the celebration zone:
A retiree got her first kayak! She enjoyed her daughters so much she went out and got one for herself. She in her victory and shared it. Awww….
Folks laughing at their total being announced as “blackjack!”, meaning $21 bucks, lol. A good knee slapper breaks up the mechanicalness of things.
Discussions about books and how language/spelling is changing. I actually had an older ranch man bring me an extra copy of a book he had around because he enjoyed it so much. And in the world of language/spelling, the musing of “new”dles to replace noodles and grizzly chew featuring a buck on the can instead of the grizzly bear.
And the baby bearded dragon. This little one showed up about four weeks ago. When it’s thirsty, s/he will pops it’s head out to let me know where it is for the water. The best news, I have some folks that are willing to try and catch it, get it out of the elements. It’s not suppose to be here.
Find the gratitude. Enjoy your “new”dles of life.
