Giving a nod …

Using what’s on hand, or familiar…anyone can improvise upon…ummm… situations. It is what it is. The ingenuity and craftsmanship excels and makes one an instant engineer. Honestly, we’ve all been there, done that and gotten the shirt.

Take for example a 1995 Jeep Cherokee kept together with baling wire. Yup. I loved that Jeep so much even though it would and could only go 55 miles per hour, double-pedaling it so it wouldn’t shutoff and running the heater to keep it from over heating to get my tuchus home. Yes. It was the point A, point B and don’t you even think about it point C vehicle that could take out construction cones for a quarter of mile with only have the headlight pointed in the wrong direction by the time you got home. Ah. No. I didn’t do that but another who drove it proved the value of a good steel body. Yesssss…

Well. Recently. The growing local trend has been to use ratchet straps to hold down the hood of a vehicle. I wonder….whaaaa? I’m totally curious about this trend. It could be the hood release was great, but then phoning a friend…broke the hood latch? It could be a case of a stolen car battery? What happened? I mean some of the cars I’ve seen lately are older model vehicles, but not like a 90’s model. How are you driving with such a bright orange or yellow strap across the hood? How are you not getting a fix a ticket? I’m pondering the ways of the force. Ha!
