Scratches, electric, gender exchange, and nature laughing too!

You know it is a special moment when you’re able to sit on the floor to love one fur baby on the right, and the other on the left. In this grand moment you hope to recreate it again with the same joy and euphoria in the future since the animals have accepted each other. Yes! Celebration! That is until your kitty has decided enough of this sap and attacks by grabbing your wrist, holding on tight (for the size she is), and introducing her hind claws. In a split second, the kitty had demonstrated her reining power of “you will pay attention to me and only me! How dare you love on doggie too? I care not how big she is!” Yup, it was like that. In the days following, explaining scratch marks on the hand have bolstered great laughter with the exchanges of kitty stories and raging independence. Oh kitty, arigato to you for being the topic of discussion over the weekend.

Epic Aurora Borealis
In north America, we got the experience of the Aurora Borealis coming in and settling over the skies late into the night. I have enjoyed the pictures posted online locally and from across the nation via the Facebook friends. Electric! Yes! With the news expressing electronic disruptions are possible and warning folks about this, many still opted to use/carry debit and credit cards. Well, at the little shop over the weekend, the credit card machine began experiencing those disruptions, to the point I texted the boss with, “we’ve been solar flared…” and keeping her posted if it shouldn’t come back up. During the machines temporary ground crossing, I would try it when customers would present their card. One gentleman decided he would return in an hour. Gosh golly, he was spot on in one hour returning for his loot and this time had his wife with him. He said, “ah, no more solar flare.” I said, “Heck no, we got seven to ten more days of this, it’s called AC/DC. *giggling* The energy isn’t just staying in the atmosphere.” Of course, as I’m roaring at my own joke and then singing an AC/DC song, I heard the wife erupt in laughter too. She leaned over saying, “you have a great day and keep laughing.” Yes! Celebration!

A Mother’s Tale
You never know during calendar holidays if it’s okay or not to express well wishes for that special day. Such was not my case when a regular came rolling through, however, it was different this time. I still said, “Happy Mother’s day love.” Quick observation: she is flustered; whoops. She takes a deep sigh, grabs her bag and tells me the tale.

“On Friday I told my daughter, ‘I wish I was a dad’. She went in and told her teacher and everybody. It has not been a good day. Obviously she isn’t with me and never again.” I was giggling and big eyeballing her as she told the rest of her tale. With words of encouragement, a little humor, and helping her find the gratitude, she did feel like she could go on with the rest of her day now.

Little moments folks…little moments…

Invasion? Communication disruption? Then this in the clouds? Oh my….
Looking up from my book reading yesterday I saw this massive cloud and immediately montaged the movie scenes from ‘Independence day’ and ‘Star Wars A New Hope’. How fitting since the Aurora Borealis has been the star of the night sky this weekend. Loving to laugh more and more, now Gaia/nature is getting in on it. Whoop! Celebration!
